Well yes and no. Plants do take in some of the far green and red end colors of the spectrum but only very very little. Breaking it down to a simple level…. The plant breaks these spectrums down into componds that actually prevent flowering. These componds break down in the night cycle. The longer the dark period the more these componds are broke down allowing the plant to flower.
Check to see if there’s any male sacks if there is just sex change the bitch and cut them off it won’t pollen the plants and you don’t got to rip it out I heard that as well green lights don’t affect the plant
