  1. 58:40 ⬅️ Time travel in the film can be understood if you follow the logic of professor Hulk here.

"If you’re in the present and you go back to the past, you cannot affect the present because it has already occurred. And anything you do in that time shift would be in a multiverse reality. It’s not going to affect your past." – Joe Russo

The answer to the question how Dr. Strange saw beyond his death is he didn't. .

He was killed by Thanos in 2018 (in the actual timeline that plays out in the film.)

Strange was dead – until 2023. He doesn't see anything that happens while he is dead, because he does not exist to see it. He literally has no future during this time.

He saw 14,000,605 possible futures. All of these futures are his possible futures – visited in the astral plane and using the time stone.
He experiences these futures until the moment of his death.
Each time he then resets. This is his reality. From our (the rest of the Universe) perspective – he does nothing but sit on the planet Titan having what looks like a mild epileptic seizure. ?

Each time Strange dies – he begins again, each time taking a different course of action.

Logically in at least 1/2 of the 14,000,605 futures – he dies on Titan . -> the end , He cannot see past his own death.
In another large percentage of futures – he is not snapped – but Thanos still wins. This means there is no future where Strange survives the snap – where Thanos is defeated. Perhaps that's because Thanos kills him afterwords – even if Strange survives.

There are a small number of futures – maybe even only 1 – where Hulk is able to override the snap- with the blip, which occurs 5 years after the snap.

At this point Hulk resurrects everyone who was murdered by Thanos, including Dr. Strange. Dr. Strange and everyone else is now alive again. KEY POINT: Dr. Strange can of course see his future at this point, because he IS alive to see it, just like everyone who Hulk brought back is. He will still live from 2023 – to unknown point in the future – and then die. And he will still not be able to see past his own death.

  3. Screen Rant: “How Dr. Strange was able to see beyond his own death” ?

He doesn’t. Dr. Strange sees his future up until the moment of his death in 14 million scenarios. You can’t see beyond your own death – because logically you are literally not there to see it.

In scenarios where Strange is snapped, (Which would in theory make up ~ 1/2 of the 14 million futures) he does not see past his ‘snap death’ or see anything that happens after he has been snapped….. Only in the futures where Hulk resurrects the snapped can Strange then – see his post snap future. And even then….likely he dies shortly thereafter when Thanos wins the final battle.

Don’t know why screen rant – can’t understand this film. ?
