Amazon Empire: The Rise and Reign of Jeff Bezos (full film) | FRONTLINE

An inside look at how Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos built one of the largest and most influential economic forces in the world — and the cost of Amazon’s convenience …

  1. They dont do 2 days for hawaii. If they really wanted to they cud expedite and do at least 3 days shipping for those of us prime members living on the islands. It is possible but try as I may they wont budge

  2. What happens when people are wrongfully put on watch lists, does Amazon inspect their packages and contents for the U.S. government in secret? I mean… if Amazon is already working with police departments by sending facial recognition data to the police for a fee, then why wouldn't they also be up for package monitoring services? Unlike a brick and mortar store you have control over what you buy, but when you order from an online retailer anything could happen to that package from point A to point B. This is a privacy issue that I have yet to hear anyone address in any serious manner. This is a legal issue no different than mail tampering or fraud but I don't think e-commerce parcels receive those same kinds of protections. I'm quite surprised something with such wide and far reaching consequences for consumer privacy has yet to receive even the most basic amount of attention.

  3. Amazon "would not release any data on crashes involving its driver network, but told us it had a better-than-average safety record".

Bullshit. Then why not release the data and prove it?

  4. It never ceases to amaze me how in an age where everyone is so worried about privacy, millions of people will voluntarily buy devices that are perpetual hot mics. Don’t blame Amazon, this is your stupidity.

  5. Kickback has a specific criminal law meaning, it’s not price negotiations. Over 80% of US workers are not unionized. Ominous music isn’t evidence of wrong doing. This is an embarrassment of a documentary. What happened to frontline?!
